I am a guest speaker, one of many that will talk to the student body in NYU on Novemeber 4th 5:30 pm

(This photo was taken by: Chango Bi; at the 1 year BOND FIRE anniversary October 27h event at Bowery)

I have to say, I am still stunned that a dear friend of mine, extended her generosity to request my presence to a student body / organization in which I will discuss my art and the meaning and reason why I pursue it in today's life style.

Wednesday November 4th from 5:30-8:30. It will be held in the Kimmel Center for University Life located on 60 Washington Square South Room 802.

For the day of the event, you each have about 15-20min max minutes to show, talk about anything that you would like to share about yourselves, your work(past and present)and anything you want to educate the audience with. We want them to learn about you, the industry, how they can achieve their goals etc. Its a day to embrace the Latino art and learn more.

*You can visit our website www.nyu.edu/clubs/lucha to learn more about the group

In short we are the largest and oldest Latino based club at New York University. We strive to unify, educate and empower Latinos within NYU as well as our respective communities. Our general meetings are held bi-weekly in the Kimmel Student Center.

This is an opportunity for the NYU community to be able to learn more about the Latino art world and being able to recognize Latino artists as yourselves as prominently important as the American artists of today.

For the painters:
You can bring your artwork and we can have it for display around the room the day of the event. All I need to know is how many paintings, drawings etc. you will be bringing that day.
For the writers/poets:
You can bring copies of your books and be able to sell them the day of, if you would like. We will have time, most likely at the end of the event, to allow the students/audience to be able to buy books if they'd like.

I had fun.... and so did my brothers, as we started getting real busy on this real big mural that we starting working collectively together for this Friday show. We were a bit taken by the size of the wall, but the enthusiasm feeling dissipated as we realigned our creative thoughts onto the wall. My son was with us, and added his skills to the wall too. In one day bother my brothers and I created the bulk of the mural, then today being Thursday, once again I had to finish the job along side my extra energetic son, who was mostly playing out side on the mini lawn accompanied by Coren the curator of this great orchestra of visual artists. This complex has otter artist who art work are on the walls too. Please swing by and check out the art in Brooklyn and help raise the appreciation for the arts and its growing need in our society.

Re Cap: Hope Lounge / The Art of Lyrics at The Point BX

Returning back to Brooklyn on a Saturday night for a festive event, lead me to create a piece reflecting air around me. I was located on the patio section, on this frigid cold night while few guys cooked burgers for people that came out that night. I didn't stay there that long but I did had a great time with new acquaintances I made.

And then there was light... At the Art of Lyrics at the Bronx on Hunts Point. I went back home feeling so good, so proud so inspired to have saw so many talented people come together to appreciate one another talents on the spot light floor. WOW is what I still feel about that event. This is how it started, Verse All, a mega cool guy so happened invited me to participate at his new organized open mic, hip hop throw down at The Point in the Bronx. Since I'm new to the borough I thought it would be a fantastic idea to get to know the many cool places The Bronx has to offer. I met Rhino, the really real dude kept the night fresh on point as he introduce the performers on the center stage that was surrounded by small sectioned bleachers. On one far end I was standing under a hand held clamp light.

Before everyone had the chance to get their seats, as people entered the facility a gathering young guys starting talking here and there. Was was so amazing , the traditional cyphers started by a two guys near where I was stationed at. This cypher was so heavy other mc started to gather and throw in there dimes as they free styled. The audience had other MC in the mist, who then took the opportunity to do the very same thing and MC on the spot. WOW how original and so cool is that, right before the act started.. This is HIP HOP this is NEW YORK CITY.....!

It was so much love that I got from the audience so much appreciation for the ARTS, that got me feeling so cheery as I hear each person get really open on the mic.

(Although at this moment I don't have photography to show you the event), I must say that in the next week weeks as my compute gets readjusted, you will see what I am talking about, in terms of expression and the LOVE for doing what one loves to od best... create..
Hope I didn't bore ya with this one, but I promise to give ya the images and more updates...

Re Cap: Younity FRESHER art group show... eco female friendly

So dope so fresh, the night filled with many cool people and admires of the arts. I was pretty glad to have witness so many amazing people who came together to celebrate awareness via the art and its discussion of how the artist interprets the world around us. I was also very privileged to have been asked to discuss my art to a TV show that featured legendary Graffiti writer who was hosting the program, stay tuned for the film, ( not sure where its gonna be aired, but.. hey, it was fun chatting it up)... My other friend ROCKAFELLA, famous b girl, posed with me and also got down and dirty on the dance floor too... how cool was that!

Painting Live October 16: The Art of Lyrics.. in the BRONX

Re CAP: BONDFIRE Concert Series art work created with Andre T. which was sold.. was cool

What a night! Every BONDFIRE Concert series has been getting better and more live as I participate at their monthly shows, at the Bowery Poetry Club in Manhattan. The open mic has many audience on their edge of their seats, as also Tasty Keish and Bronx Uber Villain introduces the many amazing talents on stage... Breath taken. This particular night was one of the best, and special to me, I don't know how to even word it, but it was beyond gratification, the tremendous and overwhelming feeling I had at midpoint at this show. The lights went low, as when Conscious also know as Bronx Uber Villain, talks to the audience and points to the slow lowering of the projector screen. As it was set, a footage and words that said the following: "The Artist Process"

Stunned and frozen, as I stood there, and also I was a bit confused, " The artist process hasn't been edited yet, how in the world they got this running? " The audience viewed the short filmed in complete silence, and I was nervous seeing how I was talking in this film, cuz I am not as good in the speech department, (but am training on it). The film comes to a close, and I was speechless, teary eyed and in complete surprise. The BONDFIRE Concert series family/team did a tremendous great job in the way the film was edited! So professional so well thought of, so appreciated, by me... The audience cheered and clapped, as I stood there all geedy...

What top the night away was that my friend Andre T, (an Art Battles regular), and I did a collaborative piece at the event, and an awesome guy was motivated in buying he told us that he will leave shortly and return to purchase our art work, how cool is that! Then the night was getting better and the concert was going under way with some cool chica on stage with a violin.... Hip Hop meets classical ... still in awe by the whole night...

Meet some new friends and reunite with some of my folks, what a great night! and thank you BONDFIRE family!
